I have checked each month’s blog listing as a means for me to accept the loss of Daisy Townsend’s sister, Lucy. We were friends in high school and I have just completed reading her book, The Outside World. After high school we lost touch. In the past 5-6 years I have been the coordinator for various gatherings of our class and each time I unsuccessfully reached out to Lucy. I am still not sure why she felt the need to divorce herself from all of us but, having known her all those years ago and reading her book I have come to realize she led a life that was very hard for a teenager in the late 1950s. Daisy has managed to bring some light into my dark thoughts and I will look forward to her blogs in the future.
